OIFES Planning Workshop in Rwanda
The second YouMatch – OIFES Planning and Peer-Review Workshop is taking place from 03-05 May in Kigali, Rwanda. 30 representatives from seven African countries have been invited to the planning workshop for the innovation projects.
Within the framework of the YouMatch Open Innovation Fund for Employment Services (OIFES) four project ideas have been selected for funding in Sub-Saharan Africa. They address the following topics:
- Life skills in public TVET schools
- Expectation management for jobseekers and employers
- Enhanced career development through partnerships between schools and employers
- Quality student internship placements
By providing grants and subsidies for implementing, testing and showcasing innovative approaches co-created in the YouMatch network, the Innovation Fund for Employment Services (OIFES) contributes to the overall objective of YouMatch to promote youth employment through providing better employment services for youth.
During the planning workshop in Kigali the project teams and working groups will develop full project concepts as a basis for the implementation of the projects. The event will gather representatives of the lead organisations, cooperating partners, and working groups as well as important resource persons with the aim to jointly elaborate the core content of the full project concepts. During the workshop, feedback will continuously be provided through a regional peer review.
We are looking forward to an active dialogue on the development of the innovative ideas, supporting employment opportunities for youth that will greatly contribute to the YouMatch agenda.
